Have you ever wanted to go diving, but without most of those bubbles? Here's your chance to try it with the PADI Semi-closed Rebreather Dolphin/Atlantis Specialty course. This Specialty course introduces you to the Dräger Dolphin/Atlantis semi-closed rebreathers.
What will I need to start?
- PADI Advance Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization) OR PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization) with proof of at least 10 logged dives beyond open water training dives
- PADI Enriched Air Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Minimum age: 15 years old
What will I do? This Specialty course introduces the planning, organization, procedures, potential problems and hazards of semi-closed rebreather diving. It is specific to the features, accessories, maintenance and proper use of the Dolphin/Atlantis semi-closed rebreathers.
How long will it take? You could complete the course in as little as one day, though two days would be more realistic (three dives).
What is included? Air refills, certification card and course materials (if appropriate). Equipment is not included. If you do not own your own set of equipment, we recommend that you buy, rent or borrow it.
When do the courses run? Courses are organized according to demand, with groups of three or more people. It is possible to schedule the course on a private basis at additional cost.
Where do I go from here? You can credit this course as one of the five specialities required for the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating. At your instructor's discretion this course may also be credited towards the Adventure Dive requirements for either the Advanced Open Water or Advanced Open Water Plus courses. Further speciality courses are also recommended to increase your knowledge and experience in other aspects of diving that may appeal to you. |
