Giant stride entry, WZT, Lake ZurichYou'd like to learn to dive - fantastic!

SCUBA diving is one of the world's fastest growing sports. People from all walks of life are discovering that a fantastic world awaits them under the surface of our lakes and oceans.

So why would you choose to learn to dive in Zurich? Well for one thing - you live here! You won't have to pay hotel bills or sacrifice precious time on your holiday. You can study the course materials in the comfort of your own home, and go back to the comfort of your own bed in the evening after each dive.

But more importantly by choosing to do your training here you will be trained in a professional manner. You value your own safety, and with this in mind, is it really a good idea to complete your basic training in a place where the instructor is put under pressure to certify as many divers as possible, as quickly as possible, and at the absolute lowest cost? Unfortunately this is often the case. Newly certified divers come away from their course feeling as though they only covered half of the things they should have. They lack the confidence to do what their certification allows them to do - dive independently with other certified divers.

By electing to do your dive education here you will also be assured of top quality, well maintained equipment. No regulators leaking salt water into your mouth, no sun bleached bouyancy jackets that have seen far too many years of service, no broken depth guages.

In the open water (lake) sections of your course the student to instructor ratio is never more than two to three students per instructor. In other locations this could easily run as high as ten per instructor, or if the rules are broken even more. Would this offer you the individual attention you need?

Maybe you feel the lake won't offer you the same sort of excitement that you might get in other locations. We don't pretend to have tropical reefs or sharks in our waters, but allow us to convince you with a piece called "Why dive in Lake Zurich?” You can read more about this here.

There's one final point. By receiving top quality, professional training in conditions that are more challenging than a tropical lagoon you will be a better prepared diver. On your first holiday following your course you'll most likely find yourself underwater with some freshly certified divers. When you see the way they dive, compared to the way you dive you'll quickly realise that you made the right decision.

Alternate air source use, Open Water Diver courseJoin us, and we'll show you why training with us is the smart choice.

You can find information about the PADI Open Water Diver course, the premier training course for new divers here.

Maybe you have some questions, why not check out the frequently asked questions section here.

We hope that the resources we've made available for you are enough to get you started and that you take the time to explore the other links on the navigation bar to your left. We've spent a lot of time putting this information together for you and trust you will find it beneficial. We look forward to seeing you underwater soon!
